A part of my target audience is to the younger generation, among the age groups of sixteen to eighteen. According to some research I've done,
Seventeen magazine has the same target audience as me, teenagers. First of all, both my magazine and
Seventeen magazine promotes self-confidence and to inspire our viewers to be model workers, etc. Technically, the name of their magazine alludes to them to appeal towards seventeen-year-olds, but it essentially turned out to appeal the entire teenage population interested in the magazine; a
lmost thirteen million teens read the magazine. The magazine may have even appealed to pre-teens and the younger generation as it's thought that they would read it in order to somewhat imitate teenagers when the time is right. Their magazine also appeals to mostly women as most of the models being portrayed are females and the content of the magazine are dedicated to mostly women, like makeup, dresses, and many others. Geography isn't necessarily an issue as many magazines adapt to the environment of where they're being sold.
Seventeen magazine can be accessible all over the world; it has its own branch and marketing group in Japan, Mexico, Spain, and others. The magazine is also relatively easy to read and understand, so education level isn't an issue. It's also relatively cheap to buy, hence income level isn't much of an issue either.

Thirteen million people read
Seventeen magazine and they have been successful in marketing their product. One of their greatest marketing strategy was their sponsorship for
America's Next Top Model from seasons seven through fourteen. Each of the winners have been featured in the magazine also. Another of their most successful marketing strategy was working with
ABC Family to help increase the awareness for cyberbullying through a film called
Cyberbully. Each of these have been a tremendous help to the success of the magazine. They don't partake in television advertisement, but they are able to be sold in stores by the checkout point for people to see. Typically, the magazine is bombarded with words that reveal some of the content of the magazine to make it more eye-catching and noticeable for their target audience.
